FC Barcelona has relieved Ronald Koeman of his duties as first team coach.

Ronald Koeman has been sacked after 14 months as Barcelona’s head coach. FC Barcelona have already lost twice in the Champions League group stage this season and in 10 games in La Liga managed to secure only 15 points.

Barcelona is at 9th place in terms of points score. After losing to Rayo Vallecano yesterday, it has lost six more points. This was the fourth consecutive defeat of Barcelona in the last four matches.

A statement from the Spanish club stated that Joan Laporta, the president of the club, has informed Ronald Koeman of his decision after losing to Rayo Vallecano. He will bid farewell to the squad today.
