Is Faisal Javed Khan not happy with Fawad Chaudhry’s performance?

Daily Times

While the matter of fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar’s insult on PTV Sports’s live show has not resolved, it seems there are two opinions within the PTI with regard to handling and restructuring of the state-run TV.

PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan, considered as close aide of Prime Minister Imran Khan, has come up with two statements on the social media since the happening of the unpleasant incident on PTV Sports.

Today, in a message of Twitter he suggested complete reorganisation and restructuring of the national broadcaster’s sports outlet.

It appears that the senator was not happy with the way the state-run TV was being run by Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry. In his social media message, the PTI leader suggested that the PTV does not require only one change – referring to removal/suspension of Dr Noman Niaz –  but complete restructuring of the organisation.

Yesterday, PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan took to Twitter and said:” PTV… you are completely off track. Restore the legacy.”

The senator said that the PTV is not on the right track. Political experts said that Javed’s social media statements are clear signal for the information minister to focus on his job as the PTV falls in his domain.

Earlier, former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar had announced his resignation from the PTV Sports show after being insulted by anchor Dr Noman Niaz during a live TV programme.

All Pakistanis especially cricket fans are awaiting action from Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on the legendary fast bowler’s insult by Dr Noman.

The former speed star was insulted in a live show in which not only Pakistani cricket legends, including Aqib Javed, Rashid Latif, Umar Gul, Azhar Mahmood were participating but also former West Indian star batter Vivian Richards and former English captain David Gower.

Former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar credited the Pakistan’s victory against New Zealand to fast bowler Haris Rauf and Lahore Qalandars’ Player Development Program for his outstanding performance in the T20 World Cup on PTV Sport’s “Game on Hai” programme.

TV host Dr Noman Niaz did not like the praise of Lahore Qalandars or perhaps Haris Rauf and during the live show and asked the star fast bowler to leave the show. To which, Shoaib Akhtar announced his resignation from PTV programme and left the show.
