Sheikh Rasheed hints at resuming talks with banned outfit
Says govt wants to settle issues with the group amicably
Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that the government wants the issues with the banned TLP to be settled amicably. He said that he wanted to stop the march and see the outcome of the talks.
Rasheed said that WhatsApp groups of banned TPL are being run from India, South Korea, USA and UK. The FIA is working against the WhatsApp groups of the banned TLP operating from Pakistan.
The federal minister said that a meeting of the National Security Committee was held under the chairmanship of the prime minister which lasted for two hours. The prime minister will address the nation in a day or two. In his address to the nation, the premier will share the entire situation with the nation.

He further said that we have directed yesterday the Rangers to lead Punjab police. The government’s writ will be established. Can’t say what will happen if matter is not resolved, he added.
Referring to the policemen who were martyred during the riots, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed said that so far four policemen have been martyred and more than 80 injured. He hoped that talks would resume with banned outfit by evening.
Talking about Saad Rizvi, he said that the chief of banned TLP is safe and sound where ever he is.
