The poor pushcart vendors of Bhakkar who earn their livelihood by sifting through the dust are waiting for the government’s attention and want to be counted as traders too.
After buying goods from the market in the morning, they decorate their carts and go on the hunt to find customers.
These vendors sell goods propelling across the city in hot weather conditions, shouting loudly to advertise.
According to traders’ leaders, these vendors are an important part of the market economy but no one from the community is willing to accept them as traders and their inclusion in market bodies.
