“To Get Good at Chess, One Needs to be a Nerd”

Pakistanis aren’t much familiar with Chess as a game but fortunately, Karachi has youngsters like Shamir Khan who are passionate about the board game.

While talking to News360, Shamir Khan, a player who defeated Pakistan’s highest-ranked international master, shared that he used to watch his father and grandfather playing chess, and randomly he started taking interest in this game at school.

“After 11 years of training, now I feel like I have achieved something”, he added.

Shamir Khan informed that the game needs a lot of practice and devotion.

“If you want to pursue it with passion, you need to a nerd”, he added.
