The definition of fashion around the world is changing with time but hand-embroidered dresses made by village women in Punjab’s Bahawalpur district are still popular.
The skill is running for centuries and passed onto the next generation who learn to knit with perfection.
These traditional dresses carry tradition and culture and are mostly donned in weddings and other festive occasions.
The lawn, silk, cotton, chiffon, and georgette fabrics are embroidered using wool and silk threads. The colors of indigenous culture are prominent in them.
