BJP lawmaker says Hindus not voting him have Muslim blood

BJP MLA Raghvendra Singh said in an election campaign in UP that those Hindus not casting votes for him have Muslim blood.

LUCKNOW: Hate speeches are continued in India under the ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as one of its lawmakers Raghvendra Singh said in an election campaign in Uttar Pradesh (UP) that those Hindus not casting vote to him have Muslim blood and threatened to conduct DNA tests.

A police case was filed against BJP Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Raghvendra Singh for delivering one more hate speech in UP.

Singh had earlier announced to force Muslims to wear tilak if he wins from Domriyaganj. This time, he threatened to conduct DNA tests of Hindus who are voting for candidates other than him.

According to NDTV, the BJP lawmaker declared, “If the Hindu is going elsewhere, then the blood of the ‘miyan’ (derogatory reference to Muslims) is flowing in his veins. He is a traitor and an illegitimate child of Jaichand,” referring to the 12th-century king whose name has become synonymous with “traitor”.

“If after so much harassment, a Hindu goes to the other side, he should not be able to show his face. How many of you are Jaichands?” he demanded, heaping invectives upon the audience at a village in his constituency.

He continued, “Give me their names and I will get their blood tested to see if they are Hindus or Miyans. I will get their DNA test done”. The video is reportedly two days old. Domriyaganj has a mixed population and votes in Phase 6, on March 3.

A hate speech case was filed against Raghvendra Singh last week too over his “tilak” remarks.
