A controversial marriage case like Dua Zehra has been reported in India in which the 15-year-old girl was recovered and her 20-year-old boy was placed under arrest for eloping with the minor and marrying her.

The 15-year-old girl had been reported missing on June 13 at Hudkeshwar police station following which an offence of kidnapping was registered. The girl was rescued from Jaripatka on Friday evening after keeping the cops on tenterhooks for five days.

According to the Times of India, the girl had decided to marry her boyfriend to avoid her mother’s scolding.

The controversial marriage case has many similarities with Dua Zehra case, however, the police action was different.

The girl, who had gone to meet her boyfriend on June 12, was petrified after getting late. Fearing her mother and brother would not tolerate the wrongdoing. the teenager decided to elope with her 20-year-old boyfriend who is now behind bars. The cops were on their toes for five days before tracing the girl with her boyfriend, Times of India reported.

Police said the youngster had taken the girl to his relative’s house. He sought help from his friends but the effort proved futile. The youngster, who worked as a labourer, rented a room to shelter the girl. After a couple of days, the duo decided to tie the knot at a temple in Jaripatka.

Meanwhile, senior inspector Kavita Isarkar of Hudkeshwar police station started scanning the CCTV footage of different localities. She even scrutinized the call records of the girl’s mother’s mobile phone.

Isarkar, who worked with the CBI on deputation, said the girl’s mother is a single parent who was raising two daughters by working at marriage venues. “We traced three numbers from her mother’s cellphone which seemed to have some clues. CCTV footages too were available but not sufficient enough to crack the case,” she said.

Isarkar, who worked on the case under the supervision of zonal DCP Noorul Hasan and additional CP Navinchandra Reddy, said three key persons with whom the girl communicated in the past, including one from Lakhandur in Bhandara, were quizzed.

“We had also procured photographs of the three suspects. We zeroed in on one of the suspects with the help of the registration number of a two-wheeler which was captured in one of the photographs,” she said.

Isarkar also added that the young man had destroyed his SIM card but had used one of his relative’s phone to speak to his mother while on the run.

“We immediately tracked the youngster’s mother and asked her to help us trace her son. With the help of his mother and another relative, the boy and the girl were finally found,” said Isarkar, adding, a social worker too chipped in with some valuable inputs.

Hudkeshwar police have registered an offence of rape and kidnapping against the youngster for eloping with the minor and marrying her. He was also placed under arrest.

Dua Zehra case

The mysterious disappearance of a girl from Karachi, Dua Zehra and her marriage has troubled not only locals but also overseas nationals around the world.

Even after two months, controversial statements and details about the marriage of Dua Zehra and Zaheer Ahmed are still pouring in through social media which is proving to be wrong as usual after conducting research.

The most annoying thing for social media users is how children can suddenly take such a big step and how a little girl reached Lahore from Karachi and then goes into hiding.

Dua Zehra’s parents are insisting that their daughter is living in a dreadful environment at the hands of the human traffickers, whereas, the girl claimed to be living a happy life after marrying of her own will.

Mehdi Ali Kazmi, Dua Zehra’s father, had also approach the Supreme Court (SC) for the recovery of her daughter as she was abducted by the human traffickers and is an underage girl.
