Global Leaders Doubt Claims of ‘Refined’ Taliban

The Taliban said that women will be granted their rights and the private media will remain independent within the framework of Islamic law

Following the chaotic situation in Afghanistan, the Taliban conducted their first media talk, ensuring peaceful terms with other countries and protection of rights of women but the global leaders are still in doubt.

Addressing media in Kabul, the Taliban Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said that women will be granted their rights and freedom within the framework of Islamic law.

The private media will remain independent but it should not work against national interests, he added and announced the country will be narcotics-free.

The spokesperson reiterated, “We don’t want any internal or external enemies”.
