Indian Fundamentalists Whoop up Death of Danish Siddiqui

The Pulitzer prize recipient Indian photojournalist Danish Siddiqui was killed amid insurgency in Afghanistan and inconsiderate Hindu fundamentalists are mocking his death.

The 41-year-old was chief photographer for Reuters news agency and was on assignment in Afghanistan when he died.

Soon as the news broke out on the internet, Indian fundamentalists started sharing pictures of the dead journalist with satirical captions.

The news sparked a wave of hate against the photojournalist and the right-wingers started denouncing his work.

Some posts were so coarse that they were removed by Twitter.

Danish Siddiqui had garnered heavy criticism for his work during the covid-19 pandemic in India as he used to capture the real face of the country battling health crisis.

A number of Hindu extremists are calling his death as Karma being served.

Not only this, tweets regarding another prominent journalist Burkha Dutt, who was vocal against the government during the covid-19 crisis, are also prevalent on the microblogging website.

As per a report, near a hundred posts were on the internet mocking the death of Danish Siddiqui.

Several prominent journalists pleaded the netizens to avoid resharing pictures of his dead body but they became an object of scorn by Indian extremists.
