Indian PM Narendra Modi in a Cleft Stick Amid US Visit
Modi embarked on his visit to the US to address the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and to hold a bilateral meeting with US President Joe Biden
Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi is on a 3-day visit to the United States (US) and he appears to be in a cleft stick as distressing news have showered upon him from all sides.
Narendra Modi embarked on his visit to the US to address the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and to hold a bilateral meeting with US President Joe Biden.
As soon as Modi landed, a New York court issued a summon for him over the killing of several Sikhs amid the farmer’s protest in India.
Not only this, the Khalistan Group Sikhs have pledged to protest outside the White House during Indian PM’s visit.

On the other hand, Human Rights Watch published an article stating that Modi is all set to deliver his speech at the UNGA session but back at his home, the critics are targeting his government with charges of inefficiency.
“After seven years in office, winning a massive mandate on the promise of corruption-free, efficient governance, Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led administration is struggling to keep its mission. Decades of previous gains in reducing unemployment, inflation, and poverty have been reversed”, the article read.
It also said that the government is trying to silence the victims instead of accepting mistakes and choosing deviated paths.
“Such divisive politics has repeatedly drawn international criticism, and protests have broken out, some led by farmers and students, to oppose state policies”, it added.
Additionally, nearly 3,000 kilograms of heroin was seized from port that is claimed to be operated by Modi’s friend and financier Gautam Adani.
As per reports, the heroin was shipped via two containers from Afghanistan to Adani Ports.
It is also suspected that Modi has 25% of the share in the port that has raised many eyebrows.
Meanwhile, the PM also faced rejection in a United Kingdom (UK) court.
India had appealed UK court to handover 3 Sikhs involved in a 12-year-old case of the Khalistan movement which was rejected.
After the decision, the Sikh community chanted Khalistan slogans in front of the court.
