Boxer Manny Pacquiao Takes Inspiration From Imran Khan?

Philippines well-acclaimed boxer and senator Manny Pacquiao seemingly took inspiration from Prime Minister Imran Khan as he is all set to run in presidential elections in 2022.

The boxing icon Pacquiao announced that he will compete for the president in the next elections and accepted the nomination.

The 42-year-old said that he is a fighter and will keep fighting in and outside of the boxing ring.

“We need the government to serve our people with integrity, compassion and transparency,” he added.

One of the greatest boxers of all time with 8 titles in different divisions, Manny Pacquiao said he will fight against poverty and corruption in Philippines.

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte, who is nominated by the faction for vice president, challenged the ace boxer to name the corrupt government officers.

However, Pacquiao ended up giving a warning of jail to the corrupt officials, “Your time is up”.

Social media users have been commenting that the move announced by the boxer is actually an inspiration from Pakistani PM Imran Khan who was an ace cricketer before he joined politics.
