Donkey commonly referred to as the beast of burden finally lands on plates in India as the consumption of its meat is growing popular and that lends a chance for Pakistan to start a barter transaction of donkeys against cows with the bordering country.

People in Andhra Pradesh are spending hefty amounts often running into thousands to enjoy the meat on their dining tables.
People who relish the meat maintained that it can enhance strength and virility.
According to officials, donkey milk was popular among the masses for ages, however, its meat is a recent development.
Due to soaring consumption, the animal is disappearing from the state and has to be brought in from Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra.
