Richard Branson Stands Victorious in Space Race of Billionaires

The 70-year-old entrepreneur planned in 2004 to begin commercial service to space and after the passage of almost 17 years, Richard claimed that the service is just 2-3 test flights away

The battle to lead the space race among billionaires has been won by entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson, the owner of Virgin Galactic, as he soared more than 50 miles above the New Mexico desert and returned safely in his space vehicle.

It was a fully crewed test flight in Branson’s Virgin Galactic rocket plane that is considered as a symbolic milestone for the venture he started 17 years ago.

Branson shared the news on his Twitter handle with a short video and penned down, “I was once a child with a dream looking up to the stars. Now I’m an adult in a spaceship looking down to our beautiful Earth”.

The 70-year-old entrepreneur planned in 2004 to begin commercial service to space and after the passage of almost 17 years, Richard claimed that the service is just 2-3 test flights away.

As per details, the experience was recorded on camera and Branson called it “an experience of a lifetime”.

“The whole thing was magical”, he added after landing safely on the stage. Back from the trip, Branson along with the crew members doused one another with champagne.

He remained victorious in the race that started between the billionaires including the owner of Blue Origin and Amazon Jeff Bezos, and SpaceX’s owner Elon Musk.
