The sad incident that happened in the city of “Pedro Juan Caballero” in Paraguay has been described by the police as unimaginable. 42-year-old Arelia Salinas sold her 3-year-old daughter Luz Maeda to her drug dealer boyfriend in exchange for 20 pieces of cocaine. They have arrested a 42-year-old woman, her boyfriend, and a 17-year-old youth who is believed to be involved in the murder.

Just 24 hours after the incident, horrified neighbors found the girl’s body in an abandoned house. A report in Daily Mail said that the girl’s body, covered by a shirt, was lying on a bed. Allegedly, the drug dealer boyfriend of the girl’s mother killed her after raping her. According to initial reports, the 3-year-old girl died of suffocation.
The local media said that the girl’s mother confessed to the police that she was involved in her daughter’s murder. During the arrest, local people also tried to kill her. The report further said that the girl’s boyfriend killed the girl. He has confessed to the murder.
Salinas initially told police that her daughter had disappeared during her sleep, but after police discovered CCTV footage, the accused confessed to selling her daughter for crack cocaine.
According to police, Salinas was under the influence of drugs and was not concerned about her daughter during the search. According to media reports, more than 300 locals attended Luz’s funeral and a group of neighbors torched the house where her body was found after the girl’s funeral.
