US Defeat in Afghanistan Baffles Indian Nation & Media

Senior Indian journalist Barkha Dutt raised suspicion on the intentions of the US following missile attacks on Kabul Airport

India was considered the closest of the allies of the US in the Afghan War but Indian media is making use of the chance to mock the evacuees of Afghanistan amid their pullout.

It seems like the friends of yesterday have become the foes of today as it was apparent from the activities on Indian media.

After back-to-back forecasts by US President Joe Biden of possible attacks on the airports in Kabul, senior Indian journalist Barkha Dutt raised suspicion on the intentions of the US following missile attacks on Kabul Airport.

Further, Indian media and Twitter users are making a mockery of the warning to the terrorists by Joe Biden after the deadly attack on Kabul Airport last week.

Some 13 US military personnel and more than 170 Afghan civilians were killed in the twin bombings on the airport.

Following the terror activity, US President said in an address to the nation, “We will respond with force and precision, at our time, at the place we choose and at the moment of our choosing”.

The statement was put in comparison with a famous dialogue from the Bollywood film Saudagar released in 1991.

Actor Raaj Kumar said, “”Hum tumhe marenge, aur zaroor marenge, lekin wo banduk bhi humari hogi, goli bhi humari hogi aur waqt bhi humara hoga”.

The literal translation of the dialogue is, “We’ll kill you. We’ll definitely kill you. But we’ll choose the gun, we’ll choose the bullet and we’ll choose the time when we do it.”
