To protest the Assam police’s brutality against Muslims, Gulf countries have started a campaign on social media to boycott Indian products.
Earlier in September, a video circulated on social media in which a man was seen charging with a stick in hand towards a group of policemen during an eviction drive by the state government against encroachers.
Reacting to the incident, the residents of Gulf countries not only protested but also boycotted purchasing Indian products.
Moreover, the hashtag ‘India kills Muslims’ became the new trend in Arab countries that accused India of treating people brutally.

One of the most influential clerics in Gulf, Mufti Sheikh Ahmed Al Khalili, also expressed his concerns over the treatment of Muslims.
Following the trend, many people expressed their support for displaced Muslim families and condemned the treatment meted out by Indian authorities.

A joint statement was also issued by Kuwait’s National Assembly members in which they stood against the attacks on Muslims in India.
“In the wake of the wave of violence and discrimination committed against Indian Muslims, including killing, displacement, and burning, the lawmakers stand in solidarity with Muslims in India”, read the statement.
A Twitter user with a massive following questioned if they treat 3 million Hindus with respect in Gulf, then why their brothers in India are being killed.
Modi government، There are more than 3million Hindus in the Gulf, they bring tens of billions of dollars to India, and we treat them with respect, so why are our brothers in India being killed just because they are Muslims?#الهند_تقتل_المسلمين@narendramodi pic.twitter.com/QCNHhA3kLh
