Word ‘Kids’ Prohibited For Nanny by The Royals

According to author Louise Heren, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, the nanny of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, is prohibited to use the word ‘kids’.

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s children are cared for by one of the U.K.’s most highly trained nannies.

Borrallo was hired by the Cambridge when Prince George was a few months old.

The 40-year-old nanny, Maria did her studies at the prestigious childcare institution, Norland College, in Bath, the trainees are prohibited to use the word “kids” as a “mark of respect for the children as individuals.”

Maria, not only lives with the family at Kensington Palace but also travels with them on royal tours and private holidays.

Heren, quoted in an interview that she was also at Norland, researching for a documentary, and she admitted that the college doesn’t instruct its trainees to use words like ‘kids’, instead they prefer to either calling their names or as children.

She further added, “The word kid is prohibited. It’s a mark of respect for the children as individuals.”

Heren shared her observation on how Cambridge children spent their day at home, said that the lifestyle is very normal.

Whereas, both Dutches and nanny share a very close bond when it comes to taking care of children at home and out in public, but they are prohibited from calling children ‘kids’.

Lastly, the author commented, “I’ve spoken to nannies who have worked with other royal families and life is pretty normal.”

Thereby, living with royals follows the same routine of getting up in the morning, having breakfast, going to school, wearing school uniform whether they like it or not.
