A van driver of a private security company fled with Rs 200 million and the police luckily arrested a 7-member car lifter gang
The metropolis Karachi is witnessing a rise in crime incidents in August as the driver of a cash van of a private security company escaped with massive cash.
In another occurrence, a 7-member car lifter gang was arrested by the police.
The news reports said that the guard of a private security company left from Tariq road to deliver cash to a bank located at I.I. Chundrigarh Road.
At the arrival time, the van driver dodged other members and drove away with Rs 200 million, the police stated.
Taking timely notice of the act, Meethadar police have launched a probe into the matter.

In the list of crime incidents, Anti-Vehicle Car Lifting Cell (AVLC) was fortunate to arrest a 7-member car lifter gang in Karachi which included two women.
Honda Civic, Honda City, Suzuki Cultus, and Alto are among 9 recovered vehicles that were procured on rental from different parts of the city and then stolen from the drivers of the services at deserted locations.
According to police, the gang used to scan the colored registration documents of vehicles to-be-snatched. It used to forge the papers and utilize them for selling and renting purposes in Karachi.
Moreover, the prime suspect confessed that they initiated snatching vehicles nearly three months ago and his stepbrother was supporting him.
He added that the gang members had licensed weapons that the police have seized.
