Nusrat and her family contracted coronavirus in July and soon after her recovery, she has decided to continue her journey with a little twist
Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) lawmaker from Sindh Assembly, Nusrat Sehar Abbasi, flabbergasted people as she announces to continue political services onwards wearing a niqab.
In a video message, Nusrat has given an explanation regarding the new decision, and the social media users thronged with hundreds of queries.

In July, Nusrat, her husband, and daughter were tested positive for coronavirus and advised to isolate at home.
Later, the GDA lawmaker was shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Dow Hospital after her health worsened.
After recovery, Nusrat Sehar Abbasi has decided to continue her journey wearing a niqab is believed to be driven by improvement of her poor health.
She said that her quarantine days have taught her a lot of things and taking note of that, she has decided to continue her journey with the veil.
Be it assembly sessions, public gatherings, or family functions, Nusrat has always been seen covering her head with a dupatta, thereby, opting for a niqab won’t change anything for her.
Shedding light on her decision, Nusrat said Allah enlightens the heart of a person and guidance can be given to anyone suddenly.
Nusrat assured to continue her services as an assembly member with active participation in all sessions and attending public gatherings like she used to do, however, the lawmaker is going to do it all wearing a niqab.
Further, she added that people recognize her by her voice and so wearing a veil during the assembly session won’t stymie her performance.
