Living Legend Sajjad Ali Celebrates 55th Birthday

The maestro became prominent in the industry with the release of his album Master Sajjad Sings Memorable Classics in 1970

The ace singer Sajjad Ali is celebrating his 55th birthday today and the nation is singing praises of the versatile singer in Pakistan.

Sajjad Ali took music training from his uncle Tassaduq Hussain for the classical genre and started performing in various shows and events at the age of 14 including the show Rag Rang.

The maestro became prominent in the industry with the release of his album Master Sajjad Sings Memorable Classics in 1970.

Most of the songs of his album were written by Hasrat Mohani, Momin and the musicians were Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Ali, and Amanat Ali Khan.

The singer earned fame overnight with his performance on PTV’s Silver Jubilee by singing Banwari Chakori.

The maestro has launched 16 albums in all and CinderellaSohni Lag Di, and Chief Saab are among the best.

Sajjad Ali’s numerous songs made their way to the hit charts including Teri Yaad Satandi, Tum Naraz Ho, Har Zulm Tera Yaad Hai, Layan Layan, Bolo Bolo, Barish, and the list never ends.

The singer also tried his hands on filmmaking and released Love Letter as his first directorial in 1989 and Aik Aur Love Story in 1998.

Not only this, the versatile celebrity has also performed in the film Munda Tera Dewana.

Sajjad got married to his long-time sweetheart Noreen in 1989 and has four children.

Two of his kids are following his path and are into music. Besides this, Sajjad’s two brothers, Waqar Ali and Lucky Ali, have also earned fame as musicians in the industry.

The ace singer was conferred with Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2019.
