Resigning after 15 years of service, Aga Khan University (AKU) President Firoz Rasul was given a warm farewell from the staff of the institute that has taken the internet by storm.

During his tenure as president, Firoz Rasul maintained excellent administrative discipline at the Aga Khan University which is acknowledged by the visitors.

A video has been shared by AKU’s official Twitter handle in which all the employees bid farewell to the president while applauding his dedication and hard work towards humanity.

According to AKU Chairman Dr Haile T. Debas, Firoz Rasul and his wife have excellently volunteered their time and an immense amount of money to strengthen research departments and other respective areas.

Replacing Firoz Rasul, Sulaiman Shahabuddin has now joined AKU as its president.

Sulaiman is an accomplished healthcare leader who previously served as regional CEO of the Aga Khan Health Services (AKHS) in East Africa, which cares for more than 1 million patients annually.

“Today, the Aga Khan University welcomed into office president Sulaiman Shahabuddin, the university’s third president since its founding in 1983”, reads the post.
