Maryam Nawaz launches verbal attack against ARY News, levels corruption allegations
During Sargodha rally, PML-N VP Maryam Nawaz has once again launched verbal attack against ARY News besides levelling corruption allegations.
SARGODHA: During Sargodha public gathering, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz has once again launched verbal attack against ARY News, its owner besides levelling corruption allegations against the media house’s management.
Maryam Nawaz criticised ARY News management multiple times for not reporting in accordance with the PML-N government’s desires.
In Sargodha public gathering, Maryam Nawaz once again targeted ARY News and expressed outrage over the news channel’s reports against the ruling party and the political developments in the country.
She then alleged that Imran Khan and ARY News owners were jointly involved in Rs40 billion corruption. The politician alleged that ARY News management was also involved in tax evasion, whereas, the World Call was also sold to the media house owners for Rs7 billion.
The latest allegations have been levelled by Maryam Nawaz, followed by her tweets criticising the ARY News management.
On May 17, Maryam wrote on Twitter, “It has to be ARY. PEMRA & government must take immediate action against ARY. ARY & Imran, both should be dealt with like Fitnas.”

On May 18, she wrote, “ARY has crossed all limits of not only yellow but gutter journalism. It has become a mouthpiece of PTI. They should consider quitting journalism & formally joining PTI. PMLN should boycott the smugglers aka ARY & expose their ugly face.”

Following her allegations and threats, the senior executive vice-president of the media house said, “ARY Mgmt strongly condemns Maryam Nawaz’s allegations and threats to ARY News in her Jalsa, As a news channel it is our duty to report facts regardless of anyones likes or dislikes. This is incitement & as a result if any of our worker is attacked FIR will be lodged against MNS”

After PML-N came into power, PML-N leaders have been launching back-to-back verbal attacks against ARY News while on another event in April, the ruling party’s activists tortured an ARY reporter and attacked a media van in Karachi.
