Nawaz Sharif likely to return to Pakistan, not to be jailed: sources

PML-N supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is likely to return to Pakistan, sources told News360.

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is likely to return to Pakistan, sources told News360.

Upon his arrival in the country, Nawaz Sharif may not be sent to jail after he returns to Pakistan with his old narrative, “Vote Ko Izzat Do”.

His daughter and PML-N VP Maryam Nawaz also hinted at Nawaz Sharif’s return to the country in the press conference of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leaders regarding the Supreme Court (SC) hearing the case related to the Punjab Assembly deputy speaker ruling during the Chief Minister (CM) election.

Maryam Nawaz hinted that the PML-N supremo will return home soon and he will not be jailed this time.

Shujaat Hussain’s support for Hamza Shahbaz: Zardari’s achievement or magic call

Sources told News360 that Nawaz Sharif, currently residing in London, had expressed his outrage over the losing grounds of PML-N in its stronghold, Punjab province. They added that the PML-N supremo had also suggested the party leadership mull over a strategy for fresh elections.

Sources said that Nawaz Sharif will formally conclude the ‘Shehbaz Sharif project’ after returning to the country besides launching a powerful political campaign ahead of fresh elections.

PML-N has faced back-to-back failures on all political levels as it fails to deliver relief to the masses and end the political and economic crisis besides having a humiliating defeat in by-elections at the hands of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), whereas, it also failed to elect its chief minister in Punjab.

It is noteworthy to mention here that PML-N-affiliated CM Hamza Shahbaz was declared as a ‘trustee’ chief minister with curtailed powers by the Supreme Court (SC) after his re-election for the position as his opposite candidate, Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) top leader Pervaiz Elahi, filed a petition against the Punjab Assembly deputy speaker’s ruling.

Business community reject setting high expectations from PML-N govt

News360 reported earlier that the ruling PML-N, which was previously known as the most powerful political party of Punjab, bowed its head before the former rivals Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain after a dramatic victory in Punjab CM elections.

PPP’s Asif Ali Zardari and PML-Q’s Shujaat Hussain have claimed complete credit for the victory of PML-N’s Hamza Shahbaz in the recent Punjab CM elections after the ruling party went helpless following a humiliating defeat in the hands of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in July 22 by-polls and gained a clear majority in the Punjab Assembly.

Zardari’s stay in Punjab had borne the fruit for the ruling political alliance, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), whereas, the PML-Q chief Shujaat Hussain played a vital role in the defeat of the PTI in the CM elections. However, both political characters left nothing in the hands of PML-N in Punjab.
