Appliances, Electrical Equipment Registered Output Growth
The manufacturing output of refrigerators, air-conditioners, and deep freezers showed a rebound in the last quarter of the fiscal year 2020-2021

The output of home appliances and electrical equipment in Pakistan witnessed impressive growth in the 4th quarter of the fiscal year 2020-2021 (FY21).
The data available with News360 shows the output of refrigerators jumped by 12% in June on a month-on-month (MoM) basis as some 146,539 units were produced during the span which was the highest in the last 37 months.
The output of refrigerators in the 4th quarter was also the highest in the last 12 quarters, the data said.
Similarly, the air-conditioners also witnessed a 38% rise in output on MoM basis as some 83,537 units were manufactured.

The production was the highest in the last 16 quarters as well as above the peak season monthly average.
The manufacturing of deep freezers showed a strong rebound as the production in June compared with May rose by 38% to 16,425 units. It was also around 22-month high as well.
The output of electric meters also rose by 17% to 155,175 in June 2021 while the quarterly output in the 4th quarter was the highest in the last 12 quarters.
Meanwhile, production of transformers declined by 1% on MoM basis in June to 2,176 units.
