FBR Generates Record Revenue in July
The collection was 22% higher than the monthly target of Rs 341.7 billion
Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has achieved record revenue collection in July of the fiscal year 2021-2022 (FY22) which is the highest monthly ever.
FBR collected Rs 134 billion under income tax and Rs 277 billion under indirect taxes.
Prime Minister Imran Khan commended the revenue board on his Twitter handle at the good start of the financial year.

He noted that the collection in July remained Rs 410 billion, the highest in the country’s history for the month.
The premier also shared that the revenue collection in July was 22% higher than the monthly target of Rs 341.7 billion.

Pakistan is chasing the annual target of Rs 5.829 trillion for FY22 and the collection in July was 7% of it.
It was also Rs 109 billion more than the revenue generated in the corresponding period last year.
Prime Minister Imran Khan termed the high collection as a reflection of the government’s policies for sustained economic growth and revival.
