A day after PM’s relief package, govt drops petrol bomb on masses
Price of petrol reached to Rs145.8 per litre
Within less than 48 hours after the announcement of Prime Minister’s relief package, the government increased the prices of petroleum products, after which the price of petrol reached to Rs145.8 per litre.
According to the finance ministry’s announcement, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs8.3 per litre, after which the new price has jumped to Rs145.8 per litre.
The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification to increase the prices of petroleum products.

The price of high speed diesel has been increased by Rs8, 14 per litre, while the price of kerosene oil has increased by Rs6, 27 to Rs116.
In addition, the price of light diesel oil has been increased by Rs5, 72, the new price of light diesel oil has been fixed by Rs114, 7 per litre.
On Wednesday, the prime minister addressed the nation and announced the relief package. He said that the package is being introduced for 20 million families, which will- in turn- benefit 130 million Pakistanis. He said that the 20 million families will get 30 per cent subsidy on ghee, wheat and lentils for six months.
