Extortionists Resurrect in Karachi With Chits & Bullets
The threatening letter also contained information about the businessman’s family to intimidate him
The malicious activity of extortion is resurrecting in Karachi as a trader received a threatening letter with 2 bullets.
The unidentified suspects sent an extortion chit to the trader in an envelope of a courier company to his house in PECHS block-3 area
According to First Information Report (FIR), two motorcyclists wearing shalwar kameez handed over the envelope to the victim’s watchman.
The envelope had an extortion chit inside with 2 bullets.
It also contained information about the businessman’s family to intimidate him.

The suspects demanded Rs 10 million extortion from the trader or else warned him of dire consequences. They also warned him against informing the police about the letter.
The suspects said they will inform about where the money is to be delivered over a phone call.
The letter mentioned the name ‘Shakir’ and two cellphone numbers and Islamabad was written as the address.
The case of the incident has been registered by Ferozabad police and the investigation has been started.
