Will Closure of Entrances Into Sindh Benefit The Province?
Karachi Commissioner has issued the notification to block 5 infrequent entrances due to the peril of miscreants entering the province from Balochistan
In light of intelligence reports, the Sindh government has shut 5 entry points in the province from Balochistan owing to possible terror threats.
The decision was taken as an extra measure to curb activities that can tremble the law-and-order situation in the province.
Karachi Commissioner has issued the notification to block 5 infrequent entrances in Sindh due to the peril of miscreants entering the province from Balochistan.
They include Soomar Goth, Salu Goth, Noor Muhammad Goth, Hamdard University, and Dureji Trash Road.

As per the notification, the decision to halt inter-provincial traveling between Sindh and Balochistan was taken at the request of the Pakistan Rangers to deal with the possible terror threats.
“There are sufficient grounds to proceed and consider the request of Pakistan Rangers Sindh, it is necessary that all persons should be barred from using these unfrequented routes”, the notice read.
The notice also authorized the deputy commissioners (DCs) and assistant commissioners (ACs) of Karachi to take action against the violators.
As per the notification, the ban is being imposed for a month.
Meanwhile, the social media users questioned the decision and expressed that shutting down pathways will not be helpful in curbing the threat but will increase the difficulties of travelers.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed, while addressing the law-and-order situation in Pakistan, maintained that the country only wants peace in the region.
“We are not going to allow terrorist organizations to use the land for terror-based activities”, he added.
