Money laundering: Hareem Shah faces the music for challenging Pakistani authorities

TikTok celebrity Hareem Shah has faced the music for challenging the Pakistani authorities as the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) asked two banks to freeze her accounts till the completion of a money laundering probe.

Pakistani authorities have launched a thorough probe against TikTok star Hareem Shah after a video of her surfaced on social media with the bundles of currency to which she claimed she brought to a foreign country without being checked at the airport prior to departing to Doha from Karachi airport on the night of January 10.

In her viral video, she had slammed the Pakistani government for doing nothing but making tall claims of public welfare and controlling inflation.

The action was taken after former accountability adviser to the premier, Shahzad Akbar ordered the FIA to initiate an inquiry against Hareem Shah on January 14.

Two banks in Karachi and Lahore have been written letters by the intelligence agency to freeze accounts of Fizza Hussain known as Hareem Shah.

Two weeks ago, after facing allegations and investigation against her for alleged money laundering, Hareem Shah had mocked Adviser to Prime Minister on Accountability Shahzad Akbar, saying that he should focus on Nawaz Sharif’s case instead of her.

While talking to the media, Hareem Shah had denied money laundering allegations against her and announced being ready to face investigation either by Pakistani authorities or Scotland Yard in the United Kingdom (UK).

In a media talk, the TikToker had said that she will never stop telling bitter truths. Slamming the PM’s adviser, Shah had said that Shahzad Akbar even failed to repatriate former prime minister Nawaz Sharif who is enjoying his life here in London. She added that she is just a common woman as compared to Nawaz Sharif.

She had said that she is not getting upset by Akbar’s letter and enjoying her stay in London. The TikTok celebrity said that evidence is everything in the UK and she is not afraid of Pakistani officials who are contacting the British authorities and filing cases against her.

She continued that her criticism regarding the Pakistani passport was also proved true after the recent international ranking of the global passports. She said that the ineligibility of the incumbent government has caused the devaluation of currency and the low reputation of Pakistani passports.

Shah had said that she is ready to cooperate with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other investigators.
