Obscene video case: FIA fails to take action against Dania Shah

FIA ​​is holding an inquiry against late Aamir Liaquat Hussain's widow Dania Shah under the Cyber ​​Crimes Act.

KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has failed to take any action against late Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s widow, Dania Shah, in obscene video case.

The case against Dania Shah, widow of late National Assembly lawmaker Aamir Liaquat Hussain, was heard in by the District and Sessions Court South – Karachi.

A progress report was submitted by the FIA ​​yesterday to the court regarding the filing of a case against Shah. In its report, FIA stated that a call-up notice was issued to Dania Shah. Hussain’s family was sent a letter to record statements to carry out a probe.

The report stated that the intelligence agency ​​wants to take Dania Shah’s statement under section 154 and she was also ordered to bring the video to the officials.

However, no reply was received from Ms Shah, it added.

The FIA representative apprised the court that a report will be submitted after Shah’s statement is recorded. The court adjourned the hearing seeking a progress report from the FIA ​​in the next hearing.

Earlier on June 18, a petition was filed against Amir Liaquat Hussain’s third wife Dania Shah under the Cyber ​​Crimes Act, in which it was alleged that Dania Shah had made an obscene video viral on social media. The petition sought court orders for FIA action against Dania Shah under the Cyber ​​Crimes Act.
