‘Sang-e-Mar Mar’ Sequel Features Atif Aslam in Lead Role

In a video, co-actor Nauman Ijaz revealed he was in Islamabad to shoot for Saife Hasan's upcoming project

After ruling the Pakistani music industry for nearly two decades, singer Atif Aslam is hot to trot the television screen in the sequel of 2016’s Sang-e-Mar Mar as one of his co-actor confirmed the news.

Atif Aslam, known for his vocal belting technique, has recorded numerous chart-topping songs in both Pakistan and India.

Aslam began his career in music in 2003 after forming the band Jal and released the song Aadat with another contemporary musician Goher Mumtaz.

Later, Atif made his acting debut with the Urdu social drama film Bol alongside Mahira Khan, Humaima Malik, and Iman Aly in 2011 and now he is ready to try his luck on TV screen after a decade’s gap.

In a video, co-actor Nauman Ijaz revealed he was in Islamabad with Atif Aslam to shoot the sequel of the drama serial Sang-e-Mar Mar.

Other than Atif, Zaviyar, Sania Saeed, Samiya Mumtaz, Kubra Khan, and Hania Aamir are also part of Saife Hasan’s upcoming project Sang-e-Mah.

“You all loved Sang-e-Mar Mar and I’m sure you’ll love Sang-e-Mah too”, he said.

Sang-e-Mah is the sequel of Sang-e-Mar Mar, which starred Kubra Khan, Sania Saeed, Nauman Ijaz, and Mikaal Zulfiqar.

Earlier, while talking to BBC’s Haroon Rashid, Atif had said he was waiting for the right script and it seems like the singer has found the right one.
