Sham Idrees & Wife’s Publicity Stunt Fell Flat on Internet

YouTubers Sham Idrees and Queen Froggy have taken the internet by storm after a video circulated showing that the staff of Canadian cafe Demetres refused to serve them while the facts show that it was a publicity stunt.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Sham posted a video narrating details of the incident.
“The racist servers told us they will not serve ‘people of your kind’. My wife and family members included hijabis”, Idrees wrote in the video subtitles.

Moreover, his wife Froggy also took to her Instagram page to address their worst experience, saying Demetres Oakville didn’t take their order and told them to leave because they are Muslim and wear hijab.

In response to it, Canadian cafe Demetres presented their version and clarified the misunderstanding between employees and visitors.

While many internet users raised their voices in favor of Sham Idrees and Froggy, the rest questioned them for tarnishing the cafe by showing one side of the story.
Many thought that it was a publicity stunt by the YouTubers for viewership.
In this regard, the founder of the well-known Facebook group Soul Sisters Pakistan Kanwal Ahmed, penned down her thoughts against the YouTubers.
Kanwal said, “Idrees has done a disservice to Muslims in Canada by faking a scenario of his wife being discriminated against for her hijab”.
