Balaa star Ushna recalled that she had always seen her mother wearing a sari and she is now treading in her footsteps for keeping the waning tradition alive.
The tradition of wearing a sari was once very common in Pakistan but it is becoming moribund as women choose alternate options of outfit on several occasions. Notably, sari is also the official uniform of Pakistani armed forces and navy.
Even according to Ushna, today’s generation isn’t fond of draping the sari neither on daily basis nor occasionally and she is on a mission to remind her followers to redefine their persona with the graceful garb.
