Britain Registers no Covid Death After 15 Months

Daily global death toll has also dropped sharply over the past few weeks which has raised hopes that the pandemic is restraining

It has been after over a year that the coffins in Britain were not occupied by the body of a covid-19 infected patient as there was no virus-related death on Tuesday after 15 months.

The country also witnessed more than 3,000 positive cases on the same day.

The last time Britons witnessed no covid death was in March 2020, right before the country went under a lockdown to curb deadly contagion’s spread.

Britain Health Minister Matt Hancock expressed jubilation on the occurrence and said that the whole nation would be glad that no covid patients died on the day.

Still, he urged the masses to follow precautionary guidelines to beat the virus as the challenge wasn’t over yet.

The health minister said that the vaccines were working fine and mass immunization drive was underway.

Until now, the death toll in Britain due to covid-19 is over 127,700 which is the fifth-highest figure in the world.

Meanwhile, the coronavirus pandemic is seemingly losing steam in most of the countries across the globe as the death rate has dropped by 10% in the United States (US) during the past week.

Similarly, the daily global fatality toll has also dropped distinctly which has raised hopes that the pandemic is restraining.
