Pakistan-Born Appointed Washington’s Health Minister

WEB DESK: Governor Washington Jay Ansley has appointed Pakistan-born Dr. Umair Shah as the state’s new health minister, starting December 21.
Dr. Umair Shah will replace John Weizmann as the Minister of Health of Washington on December 21.
Dr. Shah has been the Executive Director of the Department of Public Health in Harris County since 2013.

In a press conference, Governor Ansley further said that the number of sick people from Corona is increasing, even today two and a half thousand cases have been reported while 23 deaths have occurred.
