Heavy Rains Flooded Peshawar BRT Terminal

Heavy rains lashed parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Wednesday intensifying the woes of the citizens with flooded roads, power outages and accumulation of rainwater in Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Hashtnagri station in Peshawar.

After the downpour, rainwater entered the BRT terminal however, no damage to public life and property was reported.

As per details by TransPeshawar spokesperson , the ramp at the station is under construction that caused the inflow of water.

“The company is busy draining the rainwater from bus terminal”, he added and suggested the pedestrians to use overhead bridge.

The Meteorological Department disclosed that 31mm rainfall was recorded in Peshawar city and 8mm at the airport.

The monsoon spell turned the weather pleasant but the citizens faced problems due to inundated roads and power outages in the capital city.
