Taliban leader Hebatullah Akhundzada will be the supreme authority of the Emirate while it is reported that the new prime minister or president will be accountable to him.
Meanwhile, the tension in the Panjshir Valley still exists as it has been cordoned off by the Taliban fighters.
However, the Taliban leaders say that they are still hopeful for a ‘peaceful settlement’.

The prominent leaders including Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Muhammad Yaqoub, and Sirajuddin Haqqani, are also expected to attain a key position in the most-anticipated government.
It will also be under scrutiny how many political leaders like former Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and technocrats, who backed the US takeover, will be part of the new regime.
The analysts say the formation of an inclusive government is the only way out for the Taliban to secure international aid and diplomatic recognition.
