Khawaja Asif slams PML-N top leaders, says policies damaging party

Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that the policies adopted by PML-N top leaders are damaging the party reputation.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Khawaja Asif has slammed top leaders of his own political party, saying that the party policies are damaging its reputation.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif, while talking to Aaj News programme Faisla Aap Ka hosted by Asma Shirazi, said that the policies adopted by PML-N top leaders are damaging the party reputation.

Asma Shirazi questioned Asif of whether he will accept that his political party will face severe consequences due to a vacuum among the central leaders due to its policies.

Nawaz Sharif’s medical report draws wide criticism

She questioned him whether he will accept the fact that Imran Khan’s opposition during PML-N tenure was more strong than the opposition in the incumbent government. She also said that the recent medical report of Nawaz Sharif has also indicated that the PML-N Quaid is not returning soon.

To this, Khawaja Asif admitted that he agrees with her. He urged that the opposition parties must have given a joint strategy to achieve political capital from the weaknesses of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government.

Regarding the question of the no-confidence motion, he also claimed that almost two dozen of lawmakers from the treasury were sitting on the fence and closely observing the situation. If the situation changes, they will abandon the ruling PTI. He added that the opposition parties should consider using the option of no-confidence motion now.
