PSL 2022 Schedule Announced, Players Draft To Be Held On December 12
Chairman PCB said 2022 is a bumper year for Pakistan because Australian and England Cricket teams will visit same year.
The first match of HBL PSL season 7, 2022 will be played on January 27 in Karachi and Lahore will host the final of the tournament on February 27, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Friday. Announced the schedule for the 7th edition of the Premier Cricket League.
A press release issued by the PCB said, “After the opening ceremony, defending champions Multan Sultans will play host and 2020 champions Karachi Kings at the National Stadium on January 27 at 7 pm while on January 28. Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators will compete on Tuesday.

According to the PCB announcement, Karachi will host 15 matches from January 27 to February 7, after which the matches will be shifted to Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. From February 10 to 27, 15 matches including four play-off matches will be played in Lahore.
This will be the first time since 2017 that Pakistan Cricket Headquarters will host the PSL final.
The league finals were held at the National Stadium in Karachi from 2018 to 2020, while the final of 2021 was played in Abu Dhabi. Where Multan Sultans had defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 47 runs.
Talking about the new series of PSL, Chairman PCB Rameez Raja said, “I am happy that the schedule of HBL PSL 7 has been announced. Player Draft
According to a press release, the PCB has decided to hold the player draft for the league on December 12 at its National High Performance Center in Lahore.
According to the press release, each team will be allowed to retain a maximum of eight players in the final event. The draft also states that the deadline for finalizing the player category will be December 10.
According to the press release, Lahore Qalandars will have first pick in Platinum category, Diamond category, Gold category and Emerging category, Peshawar Zalmi in Silver category and Quetta Gladiators first pick in Supplementary.
Renew local player category
The press release said that the PCB has updated the categories of local players after the review and evaluation process.
