Samsung Launches TV Manufacturing Plant in Karachi

Business consultants congratulated Samsung on making first TV lineup plant operational

World renowned technology firm Samsung has started making TV sets in Karachi, making significant progress in the TV industry in Pakistan. Pakistani company RNR Industries Pvt Ltd has started the process of making TV sets in partnership with Samsung.

Abdul Razzaq Dawood, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Trade, said in a message on social networking site Twitter that Samsung has set up a TV sets plant in Karachi in collaboration with Pakistani firm R&R. However, 50,000 TV sets will be made in this plant.

However, in the next two years, the company will increase the production of TV sets to 100,000, which is the result of the make-in-Pakistan policy of the Ministry of Commerce. Encouraging Pakistani companies to partner with international companies in the field of industry and trade, he said that this was just the beginning and there was still a long way to go.

Abdul Razzaq Dawood also congratulated Samsung Electronics Company on the operationalization of the first TV lineup plant. Earlier, an agreement was also reached between Lucky Group and Samsung Company to manufacture mobile phones locally. The group is currently developing Korean vehicles locally.
