WEBDESK: The second wave of novel coronavirus in the country has forced the federal government to opt for closure of schools from November 26 to January 10.
As the announcement came from the Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood, the students threw up their books in the air.
The minister came out as a hero for the students who were long-awaiting this decision.
The memes in praise of the minister flooded social networking websites including Twitter and Instagram.
The students raised funny slogans in their tweets and post songs referring them to Mehmood.

The parents however have been left flummoxed by opening and closure of schools again and again.
Their reaction was mixed and said that the government should take the decision according to the current pandemic situation.
The education minister had announced the decision after chairing a meeting of provincial education ministers.
Shafaqat Mehmood had said that children’s health and safety is the top-most priority of his government.
