Shahid Khan Afridi Joins Quetta Gladiator in his PSL Farewell Season
Afridi will play for Quetta Gladiators in PSL 7. This will be his farewell PSL.
Shahid Khan Afridi, who got the title of Boom Boom for his smoky batting, joined the Quetta Gladiators in the exchange of players for the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
According to a statement issued by Pakistan Cricket Board, Shahid Khan Afridi will play for Quetta Gladiators in PSL 7. This will be the farewell PSL edition of Boom Boom Afridi.
Expressing happiness over playing for Quetta Gladiators, Afridi said that he is very excited to join Quetta Gladiators and this is my farewell PSL, I wish the end to be with the trophy.

It should be noted that Shahid Afridi had represented Multan Sultans in the previous edition of PSL. Apart from Shahid Afridi, James Vance of Multan Sultans also joined Quetta Gladiators. According to reports, both the franchises have traded after which Multan Sultans have taken the diamonds and silver rounds of Quetta Gladiators.
On the other hand, franchises have been exchanged for Iftikhar Ahmed and Azam Khan. Azam Khan will play for Islamabad United while Iftikhar Ahmed will play for Quetta Gladiators. Drafting for Pakistan Super League will be held in Lahore on Sunday while the tournament will start from January 27 in Karachi.
