‘No place to get justice’: Shiffa Yousafzai accuses FIA of selective action

Shiffa Yousafzai accused FIA of selective action as no action was taken against journalist Asad Ali Toor for using foul language against her.

ISLAMABAD: TV show presenter Shiffa Yousafzai has accused the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) of selective action after the recent development of a journalist Mohsin Jamil Baig’s arrest for giving objectionable remarks against Federal Minister Murad Saeed.

The TV show presenter Shiffa Yousafzai said on Twitter, “FIA only acts when it desires. Citizens in this country have absolutely no place to go to get justice.”

She slammed the inaction of FIA, saying, “More than 10 months that I have been fighting the case and those objectionable videos are still there on his [Asad Ali Toor] YouTube channel.”

She also shared a video clip of a political analysis programme hosted by Dr Moeed Pirzada which criticised the inaction of FIA in many cases including Shiffa Yousafzai’s lawsuit against Asad Ali Toor.

Pirzada has also questioned the effectiveness of the Pakistan Electronic Crime Act (PECA).
