Slain anchorperson Mureed Abbas’ widow Zaara receives death threat
Zaara Khan, the widow of slain anchorperson of BOL News Mureed Abbas, has received a death threat for pursuing the murder case since 2019.
Zaara Khan, the widow of slain anchorperson of BOL News Mureed Abbas, has received a death threat for pursuing the murder case since her husband was murdered in July 2019.
Zaara Khan shared the death threat with a bullet and wrote details on Twitter, “Those who murdered my husband sent me a threatening letter with a bullet to my home and threatened me to leave the case, otherwise, they will kill me.”
She expressed disappointment to the justice system of the country. She said that the lives of her and her children are in danger.”

She also shared the photo of the threatening letter which read, “Final warning: Your husband had many bullets. For you, only one is enough. If you don’t withdraw case [you] will be killed. End it.”
Zaara said that murderers and criminals were set free due to weak and corrupt laws. “They have killed my husband and now they are after me. I and my child are unsafe now.”

Zaara Abbas, widow of TV anchor person Mureed Abbas, who was murdered over business dispute on 9 July 2019, had transferred the case to Model Court in November 2021.
BOL news anchor Mureed Abbas and his friend Khizar Hayat were shot dead three years ago in Karachi, the capital of Sindh province. Atif Zaman and his brother Adil Zaman were arrested for the murder of both the victims after initial investigation by police.
