Was Maryam aware of Rana Shamim’s plan of making charges against ex-CJP on Nov 14?

The PML-N leader's recent tweet of vindication of Nawaz Sharif raises questions.

Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Atthar Minallah has summoned Justice (retd) Rana Shamim, the former chief justice of Gilgit-Baltistan, The News‘s editor-in-chief, editor and journalist Ansar Abbasi today at10:30am.

Earlier, Justice (retd) Rana Shamim had leveled serious allegations against former CJ Saqib Nisar.

But the question arises that the entire matter came to light after the exclusive story of The News journalist Ansar Abbasi. The journalists’ news was based on the affidavit of Rana Shamim. And certainly, the former GB top judge or his aide must had shared the affidavit with the reporter only.

But, if we go couple of days back, PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz took to Twitter and wrote:” What is real happiness? To be vindicated in one’s own lifetime…… Alhamdolillah!”

According to the tweet, it seems that Maryam Nawaz was aware that something (ex-GB judge’s controversial statement ) was about to happen in favour of his father. Or was that a coincidence that she wrote about the vindication of her father on Nov 14 and right after two days Justice (retd) Rana Shamim leveled serious charges against former SS CJ in favour of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

It needs to investigated if there was any connection between the Maryam Nawaz’s tweet and Rana Shamim’s allegations.

The Islamabad High Court should also take notice of this matter.

Earlier, former chief justice of Gilgit-Baltistan apex court Rana Shamim had alleged that ex-Supreme Court chief justice Saqib Nisar had instructed Islamabad High Court Judge Aamer Farooq in 2018 to keep Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz in jail till the general elections held the same year.

Rana Shamim had made the allegations in a notarised affidavit.

The former top GB judge gave the statement under oath before the Oath Commissioner on November 10, 2021. The affidavit was duly notarised by Notary Public Charles Drostan Guthrie, which is located in Golden Cross House, 8 Duncannon Street, London.
