Who is actual threat for govt, opposition or allies?

MQM-P and PML-Q has refused to support on electronic voting machine bill.

Opposition is getting united now. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the PPP chief had a meeting with Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman yesterday. They, after the meeting, adopted a joint strategy against the government in parliament.

The opposition not only introduced its bill in the National Assembly but beat the government 117-104 votes on PML-N Javed Hasnain’s bill. Later, PTI lawmaker Asma Qadeer failed to introduce a bill that proposed enhancement of punishment to those pass obnoxious remarks against women.

However. the government is facing a more serious threat from its allies than the opposition.

Yesterday, the PTI’s core committee held a meeting. The meeting discussed how to make legislation in the parliament because  opposition is not agreed to cooperate. National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has written a letter to Shehbaz Sharif offering to hold talks. But, the PML-N leader has not given a response.

On the other hand, the government allies are not happy with the government. Recently, the MQM-P had urged the government for allowing it to open its offices like the TLP. The party also refused to support the government on the electronic voting machine issue.

The PML-Q’s central executive committee also met yesterday.  The party also refused to extend support to the government on the issue of electronic voting machine.

The segment of PTI’s core committee, during a meting, has suggested Prime Minister Imran Khan to focus more on allies than the opposition. They said the PTI’s allies are more serious threat than the opposition specially the MQM-P and PML-Q..

We need to take our allies on board, the meeting said.
