Absar Alam gave a clear message to the assaulters that ‘he is not going be scared and lose spirit”.

The attack on the prominent journalist in the federal capital poses another serious challenge for Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed who has assumed the charge nearly months ago.

Taking notice of the incident, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed directed Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) to apprehend the suspects at the earliest.

He said that those involved in the attack could not escape the law.

Information Minister Fawad Chauhdry and senior Journalist and anchorperson Kashif Abbasi condemned the deadly attempt on Absar Alam.

Further, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz also condemned the attack on ex-Chairman PEMRA and demanded bringing the criminals to justice.

The political leaders also wished recovery to the victim.

Notably, the law and order situation in the federal capital has deteriorated over the last year and incidents of killings have seen a dramatic rise too.
