Ex-prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan defused the government’s narrative by playing the video of the September 24 speech regarding his assassination plot through a religious fanatic.
Last night, Imran Khan delivered his speech from Shaukat Khanum Hospital Lahore and said in clear words that the planning of my murder was made by three people together.
Imran Khan said yesterday that they tried to file an FIR but everyone is afraid because some powers are above the law. He added that the head of the country’s largest party is not getting justice. “As soon as I recover I will hit the streets again. I will give the call for Islamabad march,” said Khan.
While speaking on the National Assembly (NA) floor yesterday, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that religious fanaticism is behind the attack on Imran Khan. “The language used by the former prime minister from time to time, the boundaries he has crossed, he has crossed the red lines of religion several times. Due to this a person became obsessed and he went through this process,” he said.
While holding a press conference along with Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said, “We give answers through press conferences or speeches. We condemn all forms of violence.
Rana Sanaullah said that the confession of the person who attacked Imran Khan is proof that this person attacked under the influence of religious fanaticism.
On the other hand, the accused who carried out a gun attack accused Imran Khan of blasphemy in his confessional statement.
Analysts said that Imran Khan could have played the September 24 video clip even when Asad Umar and Mian Aslam Iqbal issued statements, however, he waited for the government’s response regarding the gun attack on him.
They added that the prediction of Imran Khan about an assassination bid is proved true which he had given in his September 24 speech. Analysts said that religious and political hatred has made everyone insecure.
