Attock jalsa: Maryam Nawaz’s blunders and poor planning of PML-N
The poor planning of PML-N has been exposed in yesterday’s public gathering which was addressed by the party’s vice-president Maryam Nawaz.
The poor planning of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has been exposed in yesterday’s public gathering which was addressed by the party’s vice-president Maryam Nawaz.
After coming into power, PML-N planned to flex political muscles ahead of fresh elections through a series of public rallies scheduled in different parts of the country to formally initiate its mass contact drive besides giving a befitting response to the crowded public gatherings of a political rival, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by Imran Khan.
The poor planning of PML-N was exposed in yesterday’s public gathering in Fateh Jang city of Punjab’s Attock district as the very first power show to give a positive impression on the nationals was organised in the stronghold of PTI’s Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Major Retired Tahir Sadiq.

Tahir Sadiq was a former leader of Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) before he joined the PTI, whereas, he was also said to be a staunch supporter of former military president General Retired Pervez Musharraf. He had also served as the Nazim of Fateh Jang city.
Due to the planning flaws, PML-N faced difficulties to gather a huge crowd in Fateh Jang jalsa, whereas, Maryam Nawaz’s speech was also delayed due to less attendance. The scheduled time of Maryam’s speech was 7 am, however, it was started after 9 pm yesterday.
Moreover, Maryam Nawaz made blunders during his speech to the PML-N workers at Attock jalsa.
Her first blunder was calling the alleged threat letter does not exist or there was no reality of any ‘threat letter’. The PML-N VP has surprisingly refused to accept any reality of the alleged threat letter whose veracity was already given by the National Security Committee (NSC), a top political and military brass huddle.
In another major mistake, Maryam Nawaz repeated the same words, ‘Cherry Blossom (shoe polish)’, which PTI Chairman Imran Khan used to degrade Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif in his speeches, during Attock jalsa which is tantamount to further promote the titles instead of countering the propanda of the political rival.

In a tit-for-tat move, she called Imran Khan ‘Tosha Khan’ besides alleging that PTI’s Islamabad long march was actually ‘Gogi March’ to protect the Farah Khan.
Maryam Nawaz’s stance on political scenario raises many questions
According to the plan, PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz held hold her first of the seven planned rallies in Attock district’s Fateh Jang city yesterday.
According to the PML-N’s schedule of rallies, Maryam Nawaz will address the masses in Bisham Shangla on May 7 (today), Swabi on May 11, Gujrat on May 15, Sargodha on May 20, Okara on May 23 and Bahawalpur on May 28.
The upcoming public gathering will also be addressed by Maryam Nawaz in PML-N stronghold Shangla today which will be hosted by Advisor to Prime Minister of Pakistan & President PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ameer Muqam.
